Types of Solar Power Plants
On-Grid
This system is directly connected to the main electricity grid. During daylight hours, the solar power generated is first used to run your home or commercial space. If the sunlight is insufficient (such as on cloudy days), the required balance is automatically drawn from the grid. Any excess power generated during sunny hours is sent back to the grid and credited to you. This setup is ideal for homes and commercial establishments looking to lower their electricity bills and that already have a power backup system in place. It includes solar panels and on-grid inverters, without a battery backup.

Off-Grid
This system operates completely off the electricity grid. Your entire home or commercial load (selected and limited battery load only) is powered directly by solar panels and batteries. It is best suited for lighter electrical loads, , ensuring reliable power even in areas without grid connectivity.

Types of UPS
Offline UPS
A regular offline UPS is designed to provide uninterrupted power to various applications (loads) during a power outage or low voltage. During power outages, the UPS switches to the battery power within milliseconds to make sure you have electricity supply. When main power is back, the home/commercial load is again switched back to the mains as the supply. This is primarily used in homes and commercial sectors for applications that need back-up power alone during a power outage. This is different from an online UPS. A regular UPS is used to provide back up for lights, fans, appliances, etc.
On-line UPS
An online UPS works with a double-conversion approach. The application or load connected always receives clean, stable power supply free from fluctuations and noise, from the UPS. The switching time is zero during a power outage. An online UPS is primarily used in commercial settings which have critical applications (loads) that cannot afford even a millisecond switching time and will always need to protect such critical applications from voltage fluctuations. An online UPS is used for critical applications like hospital instruments and devices, data centers, CNC machines, computers, etc.
Line-interactive UPS
This is close to a regular offline UPS, yet provides some degree of automatic voltage regulation during normal power supply from the mains, unlike an off-line UPS.
